Ice Dome is a easy run with the right build. Sin/Mes probably or something along those lines.

I mean the droks run has some pretty big mobs, but they're pretty easy to get through, but Ice Dome went WAAAAAYYYYY over the line. The difficulty of getting through this place is legendary. You get absolutely no breaks at all, just constant mob after mob, full of ice golems and stone summits.
That's Ice Dome for you. Try it in Hard Mode.

There is a break in ice dome, with the right speed near the ice waterfall if I remember right, you can tuck in there and get yourself together. Its hard but not impossible.

OMG, I remember when I crossed this with my necro. back then there were no heroes, no consumables, no flags and only Prophecies was out (so take out all the skills released with Factions). It was HELL!! But, to be hones, it actually taught me to be careful, how to pull, how to use my skills in a intelligent manner and how to attack my opponents. It was hard, but it was worth it.

WERD!!!

I remember telling the rest of my Guild I fought there with an all henchman team on my way to Copperhammer..they were like GTFO!....I don't think they believe me to this day.

Anyway yeah I'm pretty sure this area was done for fighting not running like a lot of others have said.

What would you do in there, smash things to see if they contain money or useful item?

I generally don't look for a reason to smash stuff. Senseless destruction is the best kind.

Well, seeing as that seems to be the only way that's been mentioned, it's your choice to not be able to run it

I am in total agreement with Rahja. Of course, it is fun to go up there and see how long it takes me to wipe sometimes o.o

I'd probably do what I do in Oblvion: *#%( the whole place up as its inhabitants don't complain.

100% Chameleon would definitely help in getting through Ice Dome.

Getting past the loading screen and I found two members of my party dead and the rest struggling for their lives. WTF, the portal zoned me directly into 2 mobs of stone summit and one of ice golems? Apparently a bad spawn, not unheard of so I made a beeline back through the portal and took a deep breath. Through the portal to Icedome, directly into the same mobs, ensued by frantic microing to withstand the onslaught and claim a beachead since I didn't want to accumulate any more DP by trying my luck with the spawns (I do not use consumables when H+Hing). Past that point it was just a matter of careful sweeping but boy was the welcome committee heartfelt!
That is exactly my experience vanquishing in there.
To the OP, I can't imagine running through there.

There aren't any mobs at the start if you enter from Talus Chute, which is how my guild and I vanquished it.

The melee alone just kills you damn near instantly. I don't have any idea what was going the the game makers minds when they did this, but, wow. I from now on will refrain from passing through that hell like place. Even though it's so small, over 200 foes are cramped together in it. I just can't believe it. If anyone has been able to do this, please lend me your build, lol
Possibly...that the players would be fighting, not trying to run past everything.

Vanquishing is rock, especcialy with hero/henchmen. Running isn't as hard as most people think but then again if their mending/remove hex build dont work they generally give up.

lol... I see I was not the only one to have experienced this

But, ye, to the OP, I have heard that the Stone Summit don't like runners in their zone, so either fight or stay out, almost similar to AB.

I feel your pain, i had to negotiate that for my carto title, its bad enough fighting your way through, but running, well fair play to those that can, i can manage most places in the shiverpeaks but that place has always kicked my ass
